She has worked as a journalist in the UK mortgage industry for 15 years. Paula is a seasoned commentator on the mortgage and housing markets, appearing regularly on national TV and radio.

Peter joined MAB in 2000 and within 12 months had set up a new company
Mortgage Advice Bureau, which specialised in supporting leading independent
estate agents to run their own in-house financial services business.

mortgage brokers, and without doubt the biggest and most successful broker that
supports the estate agency sector. Despite the events of the last 2 years, MAB
has grown to 255 advisers over the last 12 months, and continue to attract top

With over 25 years of combined experience with Charcol, L&G, and now MAB,
Peter is involved in many industry consultation groups, and is a key industry
speaker at mortgage and estate agency events.
Phillip Cartwright, Managing Director, London & Country Mortgages
Phillip has been Managing Director of London & Country Mortgage Ltd. (L&C) since separation from it’s parent company, Chase de Vere Investments in 2000. Under his leadership over the past decade, L&C has grown to be the UK’s leading fee free mortgage broker amassing 47 industry awards along the way.
L&C’s free advice model has stood the test of time, particularly in the last 2 difficult years. Its 150 advisers offer free mortgage and protection advice to clients by phone, utilising in house developed systems to streamline the process and enhance the customer experience. Paul Chapman, Senior Commercial Manager, Colleys
Paul has recently joined Colleys as Senior Commercial Manager, having spent 2 years managing in the Branch Network. Prior to that Paul was Head of Sales for Halifax Intermediaries and has been involved in the Intermediary sector for over 10 years, including work on Mortgage Regulation. Paul has a young family and is long suffering Derby County fan!
John Cupis, Managing Director, Mortgages and GI, Sesame
John Cupis joined Sesame in May 2007. This was a new position to take forward
the growth and development of one of the largest mortgage distribution
businesses in the UK.
Previously John worked for Legal & General for 7 years, most recently as
Mortgages & Propositions Director. In 2006 John was voted the Business
Leader winner of the Mortgage Club category, and in 2008 as Business Leader
winner of the Mortgage Network category at the British Mortgage Awards. In 2009
John was appointed to the AMI board and joined Mortgage Strategy’s shadow MPC.
John also has extensive lending experience gained from working at NatWest, where
his role spanned international finance, consumer marketing and mortgage
marketing, culminating in roles at NatWest Home Loans, which included retention
strategy, direct sales, pricing and product development.
John is married with 2 young boys, enjoys skiing and travel.
Graham Felstead, Head of Intermediary Channel, NatWest Intermediary Solutions
Graham Felstead is Head of Intermediary Channel at NatWest Intermediary Solutions - the RBS Group’s dedicated mortgage intermediary business. He oversaw the recent rebranding of the business from RBS Intermediary Partners to NatWest Intermediary Solutions. Graham has been with the RBS Group for nine years and was previously Head of Corporate Accounts at RBS Intermediary Partners, where he established close relationships with the UK’s leading intermediary firms. Graham has 25 years’ worth of experience working in the financial services industry, including roles with Citibank, Bank of Scotland and Norwich Union.
Nigel Hoath, Managing Director, eConveyancer and eHips
Nigel Hoath is Managing Director of eConveyancer and eHips. Previously was a Consultant for 11 years with 3 insurance companies before setting up IFA practice in 1994. In 2003, realising the need for a conveyancing price comparison platform that Introducers could use which would embrace TCF, formed eConveyancer.
Mark Lofthouse, CEO, Mortgage Brain/mte
Mark was appointed as Chief Executive of Mortgage Brain/mte in February 2002. The company is the market-leading supplier of mortgage sourcing and compliance software and on line trading services to Mortgage Introducers and Financial Advisors and all Lenders in the UK. Mark has 25 years experience in the application and delivery of technology based products and services across the financial services industry as a whole.
Prior to this, Mark was the Managing Director of AssureWeb, a Director of Marketing and Sales at Mitsubishi Electric and Managing Director of Insurance at CMG Computer Management Group.
Hobbies include: Carlisle United supporter, tennis, motor racing, wine, food and international travel.
Dev Malle, Sales & Marketing Director, Personal Touch Financial Services
Dev has been in financial services for nearly 20 years having graduated in law and economics and completing a postgraduate in employment relations. He held senior positions at Nationwide, UCB and Pink. In 2006 Dev joined PTFS responsible for the network mortgage distribution strategy. Dev is now Sales & Marketing Director and his remit has been extended to include Protection, GI, IFA products, Field Sales and sitting on two subsidiary boards in addition to holding responsibility for the group marketing function.
John Malone, Executive Chairman PMS
John has over 40 years experience in the financial services industry, encompassing domestic & commercial mortgage lending, insurance and pension sales & marketing, plus estate agency, and latterly creating the current business model PMS (Premier Mortgage Service) – a mortgage facilitator/distributor for directly authorised intermediaries.
Andrea Rozario, Director General, SHIP
Andrea Rozario was appointed Director General of SHIP in October 2007. She is responsible for developing strategy and communications activity with a range of SHIP’s stakeholders and increasing understanding about equity release among consumer and relevant organisations. She started in the financial services in 1992 and in July 2004, set up Rozario Harris and Co Ltd, IFA specialising in equity release, which she ran until her appointment to SHIP.
Paul Shearman, Mortgage Proposition Director, Openwork
Since its inception, Paul has led the development of the mortgage proposition
for Openwork, to the point where the business is now the largest originating AR
Network in the market. Prior to Openwork, Paul headed up partnership marketing
for Zurich on both the general insurance and life side of the business, driving
growth through many of the UK’s largest banks and building societies. Further
back in his career Paul spent time with Abbey National, helping them to launch
into the direct home and private medical insurance markets. Paul began his
career spending 7 years working for a marketing strategy consultancy,
specialising on marketing due
diligence for the venture capital sector and trade marketing, working with many
of the UK’s leading FMCG manufacturers.
Nigel Stockton, Sales Director, Mortgages Division, Lloyds Banking Group
As Sales Director within the Mortgages Division of Lloyds Banking Group, Nigel is responsible for all telephony and internet sales for mortgages, all intermediary and broker interaction and the surveying business. Nigel has accrued a vast amount of experience and knowledge within the finance sector throughout his working life.
